When it comes to space simulation cockpit setups, there are a vast range of options, from throttle-and-stick configurations to advanced dual-stick systems, potentially complemented by pedals. This diversity lends to the unique demands of space simulators, requiring precise control over pitch, roll, yaw, and thrust, as well as translational movement—allowing pilots to maneuver side to side and vertically within space.

The dual-stick setup (HOSAS - Hands On Stick And Stick) has gained immense popularity, providing six axes of movement across both sticks. This configuration offers a more immersive experience, allowing for greater maneuverability and control compared to a standard throttle-and-stick arrangement.

For those who prefer a traditional throttle setup (HOTAS - Hands On Throttle And Stick), pairing it with rudder pedals can significantly enhance your control, making it easier to navigate the complexities of spaceflight. This combination ensures you can manage all necessary axes effectively, providing a fulfilling gameplay experience.

HOSAS Cockpit Setup Options 

For the ultimate HOSAS experience, pair MongoosT-50CM3 or WarBRD-D Bases with Constellation Alpha Prime Grips. The MongoosT-50CM3 Base is designed for use with extensions, offering improved fine-input resolution and infinitely-adjustable springs for a fully customizable feel. It requires a hard mount like our Desk Mount for stability. The WarBRD-D Base, on the other hand, is more desk-friendly, with an optional baseplate for easy desk placement but can also be mounted for a more rigid setup.

Both bases come with adjustable clutch dampers, allowing for further customization. By tightening the dampers on the left stick, you can create a "throttle" effect, allowing it to hold position when pushed forward or backward — a great way to simulate throttle control within your dual-stick setup.

These budget-friendly, all-in-one flight stick solutions offer space sim and flight simulation enthusiasts an accessible path to compact HOSAS (Hands On Stick And Stick) or HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) setups without significant investment.
